PATTERNS
Some time after buying the Inn and designing the interior spaces I realized that surface pattern design is an actual job…feels crazy that it didn’t occur to me sooner! I’m currently on my second 8 week course in surface pattern design and I’m just so excited to use this new skill for my B&B ‘The House on Park’ as well as more product designs…very exciting!
FIDDLERS
My fiddle leaf figs are the pride of my home! I love the strong, modern shape of the leaves and even how fussy they can be. They dress up any room they are in and command attention. My fiddler pattern is created by those attributes. Modern and bold they really make a statement.
FAT FLOWERS
I have a thing about flowers…I love them. I had been looking for the perfect flower pattern for new sheets and just didn’t see any I liked. Enter Spoonflower.com - I haven’t been the same since! I have loved the Marimekko Designs forever, I am striving for bold and graphic prints that really stop you in your tracks. I’m continuing on that pattern journey…
PHILLIES
My philodendrons are easy to grow, viney and beautiful and make for a great muse in my pattern world. Pairing them with a bright color palette helps to make them shine.
SIGNATURE STRIPES
Bright colors, wavy lines and thick and thin are The House on Park signature stripes series. These are great for outdoor cushions, bedding and curtains.
MUSICAL SCRIBBLES
I like to sketch and make marks, I honed in on some of these marks that feel almost musical. I moved them around until they felt wonderful…they are one of my favorite simple patterns.
FERN FAB
Ferns are a staple here at my B&B. They are on the porch in the summer and winter inside. My ferns are 9 years old, probably time to do some serious dividing, but they are so gorgeous when they are larger than life! They definitely needed their own pattern.
