PACKAGING DESIGN

I love designing in 3D - my brain just works that way. Something to pick up and twist around, open up to a great surpirse. To create the perfect housing for a product, a kit, brochures or whatever the need may be is one of my favorite things to do!

Beam Suntory Brands @ COSTCO

The assignment was to create holiday value add packaging concepts to present to COSTCO in the hopes that they would buy one. The premium brands were our focus, so as a team we decided against traditional and obvious holiday colors and graphics and wanted a more upscale, sophisticated feel.

I designed 6 different VAPs and the goal was for COSTCO to choose one. They moved forward with four.

SOLAIA Salon & Spa

The Solaia Spa in Naperville, IL is an experiential spa where you can be transported to your dream destination while enjoying a massage, facial, wraps, etc…through the large video screen wall. The owner, Amanda, started making her own products for the spa and put clear logo labels onto the jars. When I met her she was looking to update packaging to be more sophisticated and fit with her upscale salon brand.

We sourced and upgraded the jars and bottles and focused on the brand’s signature metallic blue. The simple round labels are fresh, hint at the sunshine

OLD PACKAGING

SH!TBAGS

This is quite possibly the best job I have ever worked on. A friend of a friend introduced me to Diana, who, during COVID alone time, came up with this idea because she was sick of listening to the twice impeached ex-president and all his BS. She talked me through the idea and I was immediately ready to jump in! Diana did the sourcing, I did the designing and my illustrator friend Mark did the caricatures. We are all so proud of these SH!TBAGS!

The BOURBON Cocktail Kit

Bourbon was hot! (still is) The assignment was to design a value added kit that our bourbon drinkers would love to have for their home bars.

BARTESIAN Craft Cocktail Maker

One of the clients wanted a DIY feel for this new Keurig-like contraption while the other wanted something more modern. Additionally we were asked to do a sampling of the flavor packages and flavor cups. Before we got much farther the clients added in a new partner and then they restarted the idea from scratch, so these stayed at the conceptual stage.

More on the way!
